One of the best paddle floats aboutReview by Leeon 25/09/2015Hi,
I'd thought I'd add a review for this paddle float. I've tried countless other makes and versions that had welded seams that just seem to come undone after a few practice rescues and just fray at the edges.
I bought one of these on a visit to North East Kayaks, I have to say the photos really do not do it justice at all!.. Its one of the best paddle floats I've ever used. Firstly it rolls up into a neat into a yellow reflective bag that has velcro on the one side that allows you to secure it to your deck lines, the bag has a mesh bottom to allow draining water not that it would get any in there. Whats great about this bag is that the paddle float is rolled up in side with a bright Red Tag / Tape bit sticking out the top which means once your in the water you just pull it and out it pops ready for action, no need to muck about pulling out from under deck lines etc. Its only got one chamber to to inflate and the nozzle is a great push in blow and it self locks, its got a mesh side for your paddle and the usual click strap to secure to your paddle, including a little padded bit to protect your paddle, the sides are fully stiched. I've used this to rescue myself in practice many times and when I've been too cold and tired to be able to self rescue without it.. I've also used it to practice Rolling, letting air more and more each time... In summary its a hard working great piece of kit! that looks great and just works time and time again, a year later its still going strong were others have just frayed or failed. The more you look at it the more you see someone has thought about the design, if I was to buy one piece of rescue kit this would be it!
