The perfect kayak for beginners/intermediate users.
    Review by Clynderboyon 06/03/2018
These kayaks are great value for money. My 23 y.o. grandson suggested to me that it would be good to spend time together on the rivers and lochs in our part of northern Scotland. At first I was apprehensive, having not been in a kayak for many years ... however, I needn't have worried, as the Sundance is a very stable craft and despite being in my late 60s, I have managed very well and haven't capsized (yet!). Although stable, this doesn't mean boring, as it has a good turn of speed and keeps a good straight line when required. I don't know how the designers did this but it also turns easily when you want it to!
At first, we struggled to fit the rubber cover to the storage compartment behind the cockpit but with some silicone grease applied around the rim (Vaseline would do the job too) it slips into place easily.
The hull is very strong, yet light enough for this pensioner to lift easily onto the rack on the car roof singe-handed.
I am 6" and my grandson is 6" 5" and we both found a comfortable position for the footrests.
Of course, there are many different designs more suited to more specialist sports but I really feel that anyone would have fun in these Perception Sundance kayaks.
